Sioux Falls

Abbey Kay Holwell (Brass) passed away after a long battle with kidney failure.

Abbey was born April 30, 1987, to Ehme (Jr.) and Carol Brass in Sioux Falls.

In 2008, Abbey was united in marriage to Sean Holwell in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Abbey’s greatest passions were her dogs and her nieces and nephews.

Over her journey in life Abbey lived and brought joy to many across several states. Including stays in South Dakota, Nevada, and Georgia. Finally settling down in Sioux Falls. Abbey enjoyed spending time with her husband and many dogs which she loved dearly. Her love for her dogs could be easily seen as she treated them like her own children. Abbey celebrated life as she lived it, taking each day as a blessing and sharing that with her family.

Grateful for having shared her life were her husband Sean; father, Ehme Brass Jr. of Culloden, Ga; brother, Jeromy (Lisa) Brass of Culloden, Ga; sisters, Rachelle Fowler (Terry Luke) of Humboldt and Shelley Brass of Tea; brother-in-law Seth Holwell; nieces, Brittany Buttorff and Addison Fowler; nephews, Jesse Questad, Zachary Pickens, Zane Pickens, Levinn Brobjorg, Layth Dolge, Laeken Dolge and Nash Holwell; great-niece Willow Pickens and great-nephew Owen Pickens; her beloved canine kids Mariah, Mister Meenor and Baby Girl.

A Celebration of Life Gathering was held Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Abbey was proceeded in death by her mother, Carol Gail Brass and mother-in-law Sheila Holwell.
