Gloria was born on March 26, 1952, in New York state to Edward and Gloria (Ainsworth) Hill. She grew up in Galway, N.Y., and graduated from Galway Central High School in 1970. After graduation, she met Charles Christopherson from Viborg. They were married on February 12, 1972. After their marriage, Gloria and Chuck moved back to South Dakota and lived in Viborg and Humboldt until settling on their acreage near Colton. Gloria worked in healthcare at Terrace Manor in Dell Rapids, Sioux Valley Hospital and the Colton Assisted Living. Along with Chuck, they ran a karaoke business named Dynamite Entertainment. Chuck passed away on December 12, 2002. She married Clark Christiansen on July 1, 2006. Gloria retired in 2014 after working several years as the assistant manager of the Hartford American Legion.

Gloria was a member of West Nidaros Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, gardening and canning. She loved listening to music, dancing and spending time with her children and granddaughter.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Clark Christiansen, Colton; children, Tina Arrington and her daughter, Olivia, Baltic, Charles Christopherson Jr, Sioux Falls, Melissa Christopherson, Sioux Falls, and Kevin Christopherson, Troy, N.Y.; stepchildren, Jennifer Christiansen, Lennox, Seth Christiansen, Colton, and Collin Christiansen, Cheyenne, Wyom.; eight siblings; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles, and a granddaughter, Bianca.

A public funeral service was held December 22 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Crooks.
