Ila Boll passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Sanford/USD Medical Center.
Ila Mae Murray, daughter of Oliver and Elda (Salman) Murray, was born September 28, 1932, in Spencer, SD. She attended school in Humboldt.
Ila was united in marriage with Billy Boll on September 20, 1950, in Humboldt. They farmed in the area and were blessed with seven children, Connie, Robert, Janet, John, William, Gerald and Allen. She was a proud farm wife and homemaker to the family. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake. She loved getting together with friends. Ila was a fantastic seamstress and she made many quilts, runners, placemats and numerous other craft projects which she gave away to all her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Ila started a cleaning service that she did for a number of years.
She was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church. Her husband Billy passed away in 1991. She moved to Sioux Falls in 1998.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Connie Hlavac, Lesterville, Robert (Merlena) Boll, Hartford, Janet (Jerry) Ratliff, Anchorage, AK, John Boll, Hartford, William J. Boll, Hartford, Gerald Boll, Houston, Texas, Allen (Tracey) Boll, Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Robert (Lou) Murray, Alsea, OR, Annalee Feerick, Madison, Donald Murray, Black Hawk; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two granddaughters Emily Boll and Amanda Boll; three siblings, Edward Murray, June Hinz, Paul Murray; and a son-in-law Joe Hlavac.
Private family services will be held with burial next to her husband Billy at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Humboldt.
