Hartford

Nicole Gail (Tripp) Anderson was born Nov. 30, 1977 to Loretta Hall Tripp Swanson and Keith Tripp. She lived in Pettibone, ND, for a short while before moving to Glyndon, Minn., where she lived until middle school. She moved to Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High in 1996. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Sioux Falls. Here she met and married Jim Anderson on August 21, 1999. They lived in Hartford, along with their beloved dog Kiah and cat Tia.

When in high school, she worked at Dekalb and Dreamers Ice Cream. When she first moved to Sioux Falls, Nikki worked at ESI and Precision Computer Systems. She has worked at Matheson Tri-Gas (formerly Linweld) in Sioux Falls for the past 20 years.  She and Jim worked hard at their business, Anderson’s mowing. She’d be out busting her butt moving snow any time Jim needed help, or mowing grass when it was growing too fast and getting out of control. She also worked at the local steakhouse serving prime rib and drinks for several years.

Nikki had a magnetism you could not deny. She was one of the friendliest and most caring people you would ever meet. She always had a smile on her face and was up for any type of excursion you could imagine. She enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, riding motorcycle and lawnmowers (of course). She enjoyed both Arizona and Florida and made many trips to both places. She spent many hours with her nieces and nephews in water and amusement parks and was up for any challenge those kids would want to try. She was a proud auntie and attended as many of their events that she could. She grew some master gardens and shared her produce with anyone that she could give it to. She canned and gave away her goodies for gifts that everyone enjoyed. She was active in her church, greeting and getting communion ready. Nikki hosted many wonderful family gatherings and parties.

Nikki is survived by her husband, Jim and their fur-babies Kiah and Tia; mother, Loretta Swanson (Moorhead, Minn.); sisters, Shanna Tripp McArthur of Moorhead, Minn., Heather Tripp Burns (Todd Persinger), of Bradenton Fla.; step-brothers, Denny Swanson (Patty) Moorhead, Minn.
