Did you know it’s that time of year already? The time of year to order those school supplies for next school year.
Well, maybe it’s not a necessity to order those supplies just yet since this school year is just wrapping up. However, thanks to the 1st Day School Supplies program, parents can be proactive and order school supplies now for next school year and help out the Tri-Valley Elementary all at the same time.
According to Elementary Principal Nancy Johnson, Tri-Valley started the pre-order program last summer to help out parents that were not comfortable with shopping in the stores in person. “The orders are delivered directly to school and handed out on Open House night,” Principal Johnson explained.
Principal Johnson explained that the elementary school does benefit from this program as well. “The program does benefit our elementary as we do receive a portion of the profits,” Principal Johnson said. She continued, “We use these funds to purchase incentives and items that we would otherwise not be able to purchase from our regular school supply budget.”
So, how does it work?
Parents click on the link and it takes them to the different grade levels, Principal Johnson explained. “They choose their child’s grade level and click buy! It’s that easy,” Principal Johnson said.
She further explained the kits contain all the brands that the teachers have requested and families can also donate kits to students less fortunate. “It’s a win-win for our students and elementary,” Principal Johnson explained.
So, can supplies be ordered now?
The answer is yes! If you want to take the hassle away from school shopping now, school supplies can be pre-ordered until July 1. According to Principal Johnson, they are delivered to the school in August in time for the Open House and handed out that night to the families.
If you would like to pre-order school supplies, go to www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com and start by entering in Tri-Valley’s school zip code. From there, you are just a few clicks away from being ready for next school year!
