Under the direction of Tri-Valley Musical Director Bernard Van Moer, for the first time, the Tri-Valley Chamber Choir got to sing the National Anthem for the Sioux Falls Stampede hockey team.
Mr. Van Moer explained the Stampede organization contacted him about the opportunity for his group to see at a game and they were able to find a date that worked.
“The students really enjoyed the opportunity to sing the Anthem. It was a fun night to get out as a group and sing,” Mr. Van Moer said. “It went very well! The students sang beautifully and we had a great time at the game.”
Mr. Van Moer concluded, “The tickets that were sold through our choir was used as a fundraiser. We made about $250 for our choir. We had a great turnout of students and families that attended to support our game!”
