The West Central Trojans marching band completed their final competition in a different fashion this year than in other seasons. Although the competition was the Meridian Band Festival in Yankton, the Trojans were not actually in Yankton.
This year, the Meridian Band Festival switched to a virtual event and had bands submit their videos to be evaluated. Judging begin this past Saturday, Oct. 17.
For those concerned they would miss out on the action, the Meridian Band Festival thought of that during this change and got it covered. Band information and partial performances are being posted on their Facebook page along with a video to meet the judges.
At time of publication, results were not available. Director Danny Eye stated, “Judges are going through the multiple entries and we should know by this Saturday.”
