With the holiday season coming to an end, community members will be able to jump start their 2022 year by participating in the fourth annual Hartford Area Burger Battle Challenge that is put on by the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce.
According to Chamber Director Amy M. Farr, the Burger Battle will run the entire month of January 2022. Throughout the contest, community members will be able to visit participating restaurants to try the restaurant’s featured burger that they created specifically for the Burger Battle.
Once community members have tried the restaurant’s burger, they will be provided a score card by the restaurant in order for community members to judge the burger on specific categories listed on the score card.
Anyone participating in the battle will also have the opportunity to be entered into weekly drawings, according to Farr. Simply take a photo of the burger that was experienced and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram along with #HartfordBurgerBattle. From there, you will be entered into a weekly drawing for $25 Hartford Bucks.
According to the Chamber, the burger with the highest average score at the end of January will be named the winner and claim to the “Best Burger in the Hartford Area.”

“We’re looking forward to offering a new menu item that we think everyone will enjoy and will want to order again!” Warkenthien said. “We also look forward to meeting new people who have not been to our taproom.”
Farr concluded, “I look forward to the community supporting the participating restaurants, as well as the new people from the surrounding areas coming to Hartford as this is another opportunity to show others our wonderful community, Hartford.”
Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we feature the battling burgers.
