Downtown Hartford Inc. held an Art Show at 120 Main Events Hall in Hartford to showcase West Central’s young artists on Sunday, April 25.
This inaugural event was set up gallery style where the attendees could space out and tour each medium of art on display.
Students in grades 6-12 were encouraged to submit art projects for the event. West Central Middle and High School art teacher, Dave Tuch, will be submitting a group of these projects to the South Dakota State Fair in August.
Also on display was the fine art and sculpture from local artist, Collin DeBoer.
Rickie Kunzweiler from Backdoor Garden set up colorful flower displays to decorate the venue, and Hartford Building Center offered hanging baskets of flowers for sale. Siouxland Libraries set up a popular table of art-centered books for kids to browse, to check out and to take home to practice creating more art.
Sponsors Ace Hardware of Hartford, Backdoor Garden and Hartford Building Center made Downtown Hartford Inc.’s Art Show possible.
