Greg Rhodes started his volunteer work at the Garvin, Minn., Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter in July 2017. He was inspired to join because of his grandfather, who is a volunteer firefighter for the Garvin Fire Department. So, when Rhodes moved to Hartford, he wasn’t ready to let go of his volunteer work which prompted him to join the Hartford Area Fire and Rescue (HAFR) in July 2020.
Since joining HAFR, Rhodes started his training to work towards being an EMT and Firefighter I, which he is close to finishing.
Rhodes’ family consists of his mother, Shannon, his father, Tim and his sister, Makayla.
When he is not volunteering at HAFR or the Garvin Fire Department, Rhodes enjoys hunting for ducks, geese, pheasant and deer along with spending time with friends.
