Jerrod Healy has been a part of the Hartford Area Fire and Rescue (HAFR) since 2014, thanks to Brice and Craig encouraging Healy to join. “Brice and Craig convinced me to join and I also wanted to help the people of Hartford,” Healy said.
While being involved with the HAFR, Healy has become a certified Firefighter I and II and a certified Company Officer. Healy was also 2nd Assistant Fire Chief in 2017.
In addition to volunteering his time with HAFR, Healy works for the City of Sioux Falls and has also had 17 years with the South Dakota Air National Guard.
Healy’s family consists of his fiancé Kim, her son Colton and daughter Noelle, along with their dog Tyson. When Healy has spare time outside of work and family, he enjoys hunting and riding his Harley.
