Kirk Lee Bracha, a.k.a. “Captain”, was born on July 2, 1956, to Anthony and Rita (Stemper) Bracha in Mitchell.
Over the years, Kirk worked as a welder for many heavy equipment companies, including Woods Equipment and Diamond Mowers.
Kirk was a very hardworking and honest man, who wasn’t afraid to tell it like it is. If you were his friend or family, he would have your back through anything. Kirk enjoyed his cars and relaxing in recent retirement with a Bud in hand.
Grateful for having shared Kirk’s life are his significant other, Kay Trobaugh of Crooks; son, Jason (Jodi) Banik of Sioux Falls, grandchildren, Asher and Kael; sister, Tina (Paul) Buehler of Hurley; and nieces and nephews, Tara (Nick) Skonhovd, Trista (Keegan) Bak, Tessa Buehler and Jake Buehler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony “Babe” and Rita; uncle, Kenny Bracha and cousin, Wayne Bracha.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family.
The family will be holding a private graveside service at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell.
