Downtown Hartford Inc. will be hosting a Witches and Warlocks Wine Walk in downtown Hartford next month.
This will be the second Witches and Warlocks Wine Walk that will be taking place after favorable responses to last year’s event. Rickie Kunzweiler, president of Downtown Hartford Inc. (DHI), mentioned that the group hosts events like the wine walk to provide partakers an experience of Downtown Hartford. The group hopes to make the wine walk an annual event in the Hartford community.
The 21+ event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. DHI strongly encourages its guests to dress up for the whimsical event.
For the event, attendees can purchase a $25 ticket which will provide them with a bowl of chili and a sample of wine from each of the participating businesses. Once the night is over, participants get to choose which wine is their favorite. They will then receive a full glass of that particular wine from one of the participating business. Their choice of wine will come in a special Witches and Warlocks wine glass.
During the Wine Walk, there will also be other activities taking place. There will be two 50/50 drawings happening; one for pumpkin bowling and another for corn hole. Winners of the 50/50 drawing will be taking home half of the prize from the respective events. Along with pumpkin bowling and corn hole, there will also be a bonfire and photo opportunities.
Kunzweiler described the event to be a “fun, relaxing evening.” Participants of the Witches and Warlocks Wine Walk will be tasting wines while getting a taste of the atmosphere of Downtown Hartford.
