The Hartford Laundromat will soon reveal a new updated look.

The laundromat has been in operation since 2002 and was purchased by Lee Knigge in 2007.  Customers come as far as Salem to use the facilities.

“It was either close it down or invest in updates,” explained Knigge. “We decided to invest in the updates because I know that the current customers do not want to see it close.”

The new look of the laundromat features luxury vinyl tile that replaces the carpet.  In addition to making repairs on all machines, Knigge has added two large machines and two small machines.  The walls and trim are freshly painted, and a flat screen TV is being installed.  The seating area will feature new tables and chairs.  Free Wi-Fi is also available to customers.

Knigge anticipates that all renovations will be completed in the next two weeks.  “At the Hartford Laundromat, we take pride in keeping the laundromat clean and safe,” he added.
