WALL – Jessie Kuiken will receive a $1,000 Golden West Scholarship for 2020. A 2020 graduate of West Central High School, Jessie plans to attend South Dakota State University this fall.
Haley Dahl will receive a $1,000 Golden West Scholarship for 2020. A 2020 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Haley is the daughter of Franklin and Kay Dahl Hobart and the late Mark Dahl. Haley’s school activities include class secretary, vice president of National Honor Society, choir, band and football and wrestling cheer among many others. This fall, Haley plans to attend South Dakota State University to pursue a degree in Music Education.
“Golden West scholarships are awarded to students who excel in school and in the community,” said Golden West General Manager, Denny Law. “We’re proud to help students like Jessie further their education and become a leader of tomorrow.”
Now in its 22nd year, the Golden West Scholarship program promotes educational opportunity for students within the Golden West service area. The Wall-based company has given nearly 895 scholarships since the program began. Each year, Golden West awards $1,000 scholarships to 45 graduating seniors, one for each high school in the Golden West exchanges plus one at-large scholarship.
