Employees of Reliabank were busy at the Colton branch location giving the new building a makeover on Friday, October 8, before their doors open on or around December 10. Reliabank is located at 200 E 4th Street.
According to CEO David W. Johnson, there were 23 Reliabankers that pitched in with the work on Friday. Work that was done consisted of items such as hanging sheetrock, two coats of paint in more than three rooms, reassembling the lobby ceiling, removing and stumped two trees, moving landscaping rocks, washing windows and removing rust from terrazzo floors.
Board member and shareholder Jan Johnson and retired Human Resources Director Cindy Fugere planned the redecorating, picking out paint, carpet, ordering office furniture, etc., explained CEO Johnson. In addition, Chief IT Officer Bill Voecks has been working on planning the technology and security items while Johnson has been refinishing oak woodwork and rehabbing the bank’s suspended ceiling.
What’s next for the remodeling? “We are waiting on Reynolds Construction to do the block work on the small addition on the north which is the drive-up teller deal-drawer and window,” CEO Johnson said. He also explained A & B Concrete has been building the driveway for the Autobank on and off for three months.
The new signage that will be displayed in front of the bank is anticipated to be installed the third week in November which will be received from Pride Neon, according to CEO Johnson.
Reliabank will be holding another group work day with employees which will be on October 19 continuing to work on painting and staining woodwork.
As of right now, COE Johnson explained there are three full-time employees that have been hired and being trained for when their doors open. Additional employees will be hired once the bank is open.
“We will open December 10 barring unforeseen problems,” CEO Johnson said. He concluded, “We are excited to add the finishing touches to the building and get ready to officially open and become a part of the Colton community.”
