On Friday, July 10th the festivities will begin with a Dart Tourney on Main Street starting at 6:30pm with registration 6:00pm. Cost will be $10 per person for the Larchwood Style tournament.
At 7:30pm you can cheer on your local baseball teams in a heated game when the Wood Ducks take on the Gamecocks at the Humboldt ball field.
Get ready to sing because it is Karaoke with Kelly at the bar at 9pm.
And you can cap off Friday evening with a Fireworks display at approximately 10-10:30pm following the ball game at the ball fields.
Saturday, July 11th is jam packed with events. You do not want to miss the Humboldt Bar Car & Bike Show on Main Street from 10am – 2 pm. Each year this Car and Bike show gets bigger and better. This year’s show includes a new Rat Rods class and new “People’s Choice Awards” for Best Overall, Best Corvette, Best Mustang and Best Harley. Shine up your car, it is just a $10 entry fee, Registration 9-10:00am with trophies for top 2 in each class.
At noon there will be a Pink Poker Run for West Central Alumni Kelli Heemstra Aberson who has been battling breast cancer. All vehicles are welcome. Kelli will draw a winner for the iPad raffle. Poker hands $10/ a hand with first prize poker hand being a 2-night stay at “Kevin’s Grand Cabin” in the Hills which has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is set up for any family or couple! Bring the kids to watch the parade at 2:15pm. Call 363-3122 to pre-register your parade entry.
Right after the parade there will be a HUGE Bean Bag Tourney at 2:45pm on Main Street – $20 per team, 100% payback, Double Elimination, there will be divisions.
Enjoy live music at 9:30pm when our Street Dance featuring On Point Band plays. This year there is a FREE GATE courtesy of the Main Street Humboldt Bar as a customer appreciation celebration.
Wrapping up the weekend, at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 12th there will be a Gerry Fox Benefit Poker Run. All vehicles welcome, kickstands up at 1pm. Registration at 12:30pm. Gerry is a local Humboldt resident who is battling cancer. Please make plans to attend and show your support for this great guy.
And last on the schedule will be the Humboldt Pink Ladies Chase the Queen drawing at 4pm at the bar. Buy tickets from the Pink Ladies for this popular fundraiser prior to the drawing at 4pm. Tickets are 2/$5, 5/$10 or 20/$20. All the proceeds from this fundraiser go to help local people struggling with cancer.
