Ace Hardware kicked off their grand opening Friday, June 4, with their ribbon cutting before entering a weekend of giveaways that turned out to be a fantastic weekend, according to Store Manager Scott Schrader.
The ribbon cutting took place at noon with the Ace ownership group in attendance which consisted of John and Greg Niederauer, Jason Melcher, Fred Rosin and Alex Parsons.
According to Schrader, this was the store’s third grand opening event which held many perks for their customers.
Friday customers that stopped in the store could enjoy 50% off any regular item that was $30 or less. Schrader explained on Saturday the first 200 customers received the bucket giveaway. “Saturday, we had a bucket giveaway which was huge. The first 200 customers, anything that could fit into the bucket was 20% off (minus power tools).” Schrader also explained on Saturday, the store had provided hotdogs, chips and soft drinks for their customers that stopped in. Sunday was another day of savings which was $5 off any regular priced item of $25 or less.
Throughout the weekend, customers could register to win an ego trimmer battery charger and kit, yeti cooler or a weber grill. Those winners were drawn on Sunday. Schrader announced the winners were:
Lyle Schoe was the winner of the ego trimmer battery charger and kit
Craig Doss was the winner of the weber grill
Lowell was the winner of the yeti cooler
Schrader said, “They were all very ecstatic when I contacted them to let them know they won. They were all more than thrilled and I thanked them for stopping in and supporting our store.”
“This was our third event or grand opening since we have been open. We did one our first weekend we were open back in April. In May we did a customer appreciation event, which included another bucket event that weekend as well, and now we had our official grand opening,” Schrader said. Schrader concluded, “We want to thank everyone for stopping in and for their support with our grand opening. The turnout was fantastic. All three of them have been fantastic.”
