The last burger we will give the community the dish on is The Dugout burger which was created by The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill Cook Penny Spade and her son, Bradley.
The Dugout is a seasoned 1/3-pound patty with an egg in the middle, explained Spade. In addition, the burger will have grilled onions, bacon, pepper jack cheese and topped with a special sauce.
When asked what makes this so special, Spade explained it’s the egg in the middle (emphasis with in the middle and not on top of the burger) and the special sauce. She continued to explain that the burger has been very popular and they have been “crazy” busy, receiving several compliments that the burger is even better than the burgers in downtown Sioux Falls.
Big J’s Roadhouse chose not to comment with regards to the Burger Battle.
When taking on the Burger Battle, remember to take a photo of the burger, post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and include #HartfordBurgerBattle to be eligible for a weekly drawing of $25 Hartford Bucks.
