Over a month ago, West Central School District began distributing meals to be sure that students got a healthy meal even though they weren’t in school. As the days turned into weeks, and classes were canceled, first for a few weeks, and then throughout the remainder of the year, school lunches remained constant.

About 250 students currently are receiving these meals between Hartford and Humboldt Elementary. The meals can be picked up each week on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meals picked up on Thursday are for Friday and Monday breakfasts and lunches. Some can be delivered to families outside the Hartford/Humboldt area and families are encouraged to call the school offices for delivery.

Parents must have the students with them when picking up the meals. If they cannot come with, they need a “blue card” that is issued through the school.
