You may see them in your local bars playing darts, but behind the scenes the Pink Ladies of Colton and Humboldt are working to help out local community members battling cancer.

Ashley Tooley, president of the Humboldt Pink Ladies, speaks that the Pink Ladies do not just help other women, but all members of the community.

“Pink Ladies is meant for us to help people in need with cancer – whether that be community support by throwing darts, fundraisers, or seeking donations,” Tooley says.

Kylle Koch, president of the Colton Pink Ladies, echoes Tooley, saying that everybody battling cancer should feel as if there is a community supporting them.

“From monetary donations, to groceries, to yardwork, we are always willing to lend out a hand,” Koch says.

If anything, Tooley and Koch speaks that no matter the situation, the Humboldt Pink Ladies is willing to help.

“We are here for everybody, and we want everyone to know that they can reach out for questions or concerns. We are here to listen,” Tooley states.

The Colton Pink Ladies has several options to get in contact with their organization for help, from their email, coltonpinkladies@gmail.com, or their Facebook page.  Koch states that the family or individual can remain anonymous if they wish to keep their situation private.

The Humboldt Pink Ladies are currently hosting a Chase the Queen fundraiser every Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Humboldt Main Street Bar.  All proceeds will help support their mission of supporting all those in their surrounding community. Each week they keep going until the queen of hearts is pulled.  Tickets can be purchased throughout the week at the Humboldt Main Street Bar and tickets are sold for 2 for $10, 5 for $10, and 20 for $20.
