Members of the West Central FFA wanted to spend some time this year giving back to the community. Giving back to the community is the reason for the “Thank a Farmer” program which prompted West Central FFA to spend the day out of school serving lunches to farmers.

Members served lunch at the Hartford and Humboldt Elevators on Monday, Oct. 12. This was their first year serving lunch at the elevators.

Farmers were treated to a lunch that included grilled brats, chips, bars and a bottle of water. The food was donated by the FFA chapter and its members.

When asked what was her favorite part, Jami Bergeson, West Central FFA Chapter Secretary, stated, “Just getting to be outside on a beautiful day doing something nice for those who have done so much for us.”
